Dear All,

As part of our appeal to the Governor of Orissa , the Prime Minister of India and the President of India to ensure the security and well-being of the terrorised citizens of Kandhmal this Christmas, please gather at Marine drive on 23/12/08, 5 to 6 p.m. We will assemble at Kilachand Chowk on Marine Drive (opp. Soona Mahal/Jazz by the Bay/Ambassador Hotel) at 4.30 p.m. to line up towards the Princess Street flyover with banners and placards and distribute leaflets.

Attached is the leaflet (pdf) which participating organisations can print (50-100 each). Participants can also bring placards on:

1. Enact Law against Communal Violence
2. Protect people of Kandhmal
and/or any other appropriate slogans

Several organisations have joined in this campaign.
