
Seminar -Housing Society Issues July 06 10.00 a.m.

Maharashtra Societies Welfare Association (MSWA) and Bombay Catholic Sabha have organized a free interactive seminar on "Housing Society Issues". The seminar is being held on July 6, at "Pope Paul Hall, I C Church, Mount Poisar, Opp. St. Francis School, Borivali (West), Mumbai 4000103 between 10.00am to 1.00pm.
The speakers will address various issues pertaining to the cooperative housing societies. Prabhakar Churi (hon. consultant, MSWA) will speak on the importance and advantages of conveyance. C.A.Ramesh Prabhu (chairman, MSWA) will discuss 'Deemed Conveyance: its advantages and importance and also the latest Stamp Duty Amnesty Scheme announced by the finance minister, which has been introduced on June 8 for three months. This scheme has been announced for those cooperative housing societies which want to procure the conveyance, wherein flat owners who have purchased their flats before 1985 will get an opportunity to pay their stamp duty and penalty at a nominal rate.
Mr. Vijay Samant (vice-president, MSWA) will speak on procedure to be adopted for redevelopment and the issues regarding the redevelopment in a cooperative housing society.
There would be an interactive session for answering queries and questions raised by the participants on housing society related topics. Literature and educational material on various subjects regarding society matter will be on display at the venue.
Dolphy Dsouza, president, Bombay Catholic Sabha, will be chief guest.
