Our Story

Welcome to Bombay Catholic Sabha

The Bombay Catholic Sabha is one of the largest Christian organization in the country with a membership of 62,000+ with units and presence in four districts of Maharashtra. It was founded on Jan 20, 1989 and is the recognized organisation of the Archdiocese of Bombay representing Social issues including Human Rights, Civic and Political issues

Who We Are

The Bombay Catholic Sabha is an officially recognized Church Association of the Archdiocese of Bombay that works for the empowerment of the laity in Civic, Political and Social matters. It is also involved in Human Rights, Social Justice, Environment, Inter-religious and Communal Harmony issues in the city and the country. Its Vision is ‘To Create a Just Society through Involvement in Socio, Civic and Political Affairs.’ It is a registered Trust and with 56000 members it is one of the largest Christian organizations in the country that has Units in most of the Parishes in the Archdiocese of Bombay.

  • Registered under The Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950. Regn. No. E 12545 (BOM)

  • Emblem of the Sabha is a cross in half folded hands in an inset with the motto ‘LOVE, SERVICE AND FRATERNITY’

  • Jurisdiction of the Sabha is co-extensive with the territory of the Archdiocese of Bombay
